Why we made it
There are so many ways to move.
Children with disabilities are often absent from board books or presented as lessons. We wanted disability to be visible, ordinary, and part of everyday joy.
All the ways we move
Feet, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, prosthetics and service dogs.
Fun comes first
Every photo is about play and getting places, not about limits.
Questions welcome
Kids are curious. This book gives you easy words to answer them.
Praise for On-the-Go
What readers are saying
“The way that it normalizes disability without being saccharine or pitying is important for my kid to see.”
“It celebrates all forms of mobility with no framework of normal vs. abnormal.”
“I love that she is being exposed to mobility aids and learning that all kinds of movement can be joyful!”
